Damaraland is one of the most visually spectacular areas in Namibia. With a petrified forest, towering rock formations and ancient art, this ruggedly beautiful region boasts the opportunity to enjoy truly memorable experiences for the most adventurous traveler.

Prehistoric water courses snake through open plains and grassland, massive vertical granite outcrops and bottomless gorges. To the west, an infinite horizon sustains a diversity of game including Elephant, Black Rhino, Giraffe, Ostrich and Springbok.

Deriving her name from her inhabitants, Damara, attractions include; The Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain and home to the famous 'White Lady' Bushman painting; Twyfelfontein, a beautiful rocky outcrop showcasing thousands of beautiful Bushman paintings; Spitzkoppe, a typical pointed inselberg and a mysterious place of great significance to the ancient San people; the Petrified Forest, millions of years old and The Vingerklip (or finger rock), a towering finger of limestone that rises over 35m above its base.
