Desert Star Fish River Canyon

Desert Star Fish River Canyon

The Fish River stretches for some 650 kilometers making it the longest river in Namibia and one of the nation’s most breathtaking natural attractions. With a spectacular depth of up to 550 meters, the Fish River Canyon seconds the largest canyon in the world - namely the Grand Canyon in America.

It is thought that the Fish River Canyon was formed about 500 million years ago through water erosion and the collapse of the valley bottom due to movements in the earth's crust.

Permanent film sets here will include a Derelict Railway, a Station, Nomadic River Settlement and Desert Castle.
